Will Sooperlooper achieve this? Multitracking.

Post by berberman »

My setup:
Instruments --> Presonus Studiolive digital mixer---> Logic Pro in Macbook Pro, running Sooperlooper as AU (64bit)

What I'm trying to achieve:
Play a measure of percussion through the mixer, loop it all the while recording it to a separate track in Logic.
Play a measure of guitar through the mixer, loop it all the while recording it to a separate track in Logic.
And so on and so forth. In other words, I'd like to create multiple loops, each loop being recorded to a different track in Logic, which would allow me to mix each instrument loop later on independently.

The question:
Is that possible to do using Sooperlooper? How would I route the inputs and outputs of Sooperlooper from the mixer to different tracks in Logic?
If doable, I'll get a midi pedal (probably the soft step 2) connected, to control SooperLooper hands free.
